Show Notes

The ancient city of Hazor is mentioned in the Bible as the "Head" of the Canaanite kingdoms when the Israelites began to conquer the Promised Land. The Bible tells us that under the courageous leader of Joshua, the city was destroyed and burned with fire. But what do the archaeological remains at Hazor tell us about its destruction?

In this episode, Jeff interviews Archaeologist, Prof. Amnon Ben-Tor of the Institute of Archaeology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, to learn about how excavations at Hazor are illuminating the Bible story of Joshua's conquest of the Promised Land.
